I have installed windows 7 on a toshiba satellite a300-1j1 laptop. all devices appear to be working fine. however, under 'other devices' in device manager are two 'system base devices' that do not have any drivers.. Re: ethernet controller, missing drivers windows 7 on upgraded systems, you need to install the desktop/notebook utility and the chipset drivers first or the rest of the drivers will fail to install. some systems do not have windows 7 drivers.. Solved using virtual clone driver to downgrade from windows 10 to 7, but usb drivers and internet drivers missing so cannot update solved drivers missing after windows 7 re-install.
